And So It Begins..

It's official! The lease was signed, and things are starting to slowly make their way over to the apartment. First stress: Propane. We called up the propane company and it's a $200 deposit just to get things started. Hopefully we can work out a payment plan. Also, we have a small mold problem that needs almost constant attention to prevent it from getting worse. This is caused by abundant amount of moisture that is evident if in the apartment for a period of time. However, like I mentioned..it is treatable.

Other than that.. I guess I can start to say excitement is rising. :)

The Lease.

Well, as many of you may already know..we got the apartment :) We were trying to shoot for the middle of September or October first, but the landlord pretty much said it's now or never; therefore, I will be getting up bright and early tomorrow to sign the lease and hand over the first's months rent and security deposit. Then we will be all set to move in. I was going to start moving our big stuff in on Sunday, but New England threw in yet another curve ball and is sending a hurricane our way. So, I'll either be moving things in before work on Saturday or it'll have to wait.

I already have called PSNH, and they will be turning on our power on Monday. Now just to figure out how to pay and set up our propane. Those are our major bills. We can live without the others for now..such as cable, internet, and so on.

I am experiencing excitement, nervousness, and hope on top of many more emotions. This is the biggest step I have taken in my life thus far. People have asked me what I still need. We're all set with furniture and stuff, but can always use encouragement :)

Don't Jump The Gun.

Who I am fooling I have already jumped the gun and my hopes are, indeed, soaring. Let me back up a moment to catch you all up. I have been looking at apartments for months now and I've looked at atleast ten throughout that time period. Just when I was about to give up for now, my boyfriend decides to surprise me and call up a place (on his own) and set up an appointment. The apartment is located right acrossed from his brother's house, is $550 a month, and pets are permitted with only a 150 dollar non-refundable fee up front. :).

There are a few drawbacks, but I believe you will find that anywhere. I'll be traveling from Tilton to Gilford(about 20 minutes or so) on a daily basis, but the location is smack dab in the middle of everything we love to do. Nothing is included, but we sat down and figured everything out and we can make it work. It'll be tight, but that's expected.

It only took us a short amount of time to talk it over with a few people and make the decision to take it. I filled out the application and will be handing it in as soon as possible. I feel like the pages have turned and a new chapter is beginning. Things won't be easy, it would be silly to think so, but you can't possibly know what you're capable of without taking a leap.

Thanks in advance for the support and encouragement.
